Ochoa, Lozano out of Aguirre's first Mexico squad
Mexico coach Javier Aguirre has left Guillermo Ochoa and Hirving Lozano out of his first squad since returning for a second spell in charge.
Guillermo Ochoa, 37, has won 135 caps for Mexico and was part of the squad at the World Cup in Qatar, but has been dropped in favour of Club America's Oscar Jimenez and Santos Laguna's Carlos Acevedo.
Lozano, 27, scored the winning goal against Germany at the World Cup but has been struggling with a thigh injury. He has been replaced by Real Betis' Diego Lainez.
Aguirre has also recalled experienced defender Hector Moreno, who has not played for Mexico since September 2021.
Moreno, 35, was part of Mexico's squad at the 2014 and 2018 World Cups and has won 133 caps.
Mexico will face Suriname in a friendly on 23 March before taking on Jamaica in a Concacaf Nations League match on 26 March.
